College football is back for another week of close calls, surprise upsets, blowouts, and more.

It’s Week 4 of NCAA football action, and Bovada’s college football odds are 100% ready.

Plenty of ranked teams are going head-to-head this week as the action heats up across college campuses all over the country. Let’s check out the college football odds for some of the biggest NCAA games this week.

2024 Week 1 College Football

#11 USC (-240) at #18 Michigan (+200)

After a surprising early season loss, the Michigan Wolverines bounced back with a 28-18-win last weekend over Arkansas State. But they still slipped a spot in the NCAA football rankings, clearly not impressing the college football world enough with that W.

Michigan QB Davis Warren threw 3 interceptions in that win, giving oddsmakers some pause considering the powerhouse Trojans are coming to Ann Arbor this weekend. Warren has been benched in favor of QB Alex Orji this week, a third-year player with limited experience as a starter.

At the same time, Michigan racked up over 300 yards rushing in that same game, so expect a battle on the ground as they try to keep the potent USC offense off the field.

USC is coming off a bye after wins over LSU and Utah State, the latter game being a 48-0 drubbing by the Trojans. There’s been no drop-off after Caleb Williams left for the NFL, as QB Miller Moss has thrown for over 600 yards with 2 TD’s and no picks in their first two games.

With Michigan still not a lock for a College Football Playoff appearance, we expect them to come out hard in front of the hometown crowd of 110,000 fans. Meanwhile, USC is loaded, rested, and their experience makes them the favorite.

All the USC-Michigan odds are ready at Bovada, with dozens of bets available.

#24 Illinois (+275) at #22 Nebraska (-350)

The college football odds are strongly in favor of the Nebraska Cornhuskers as they host Illinois under the Friday night lights in Lincoln.

It’s a freshman QB, Dylan Raiola, who’s leading Nebraska into their first game against a ranked team this season – are the odds too heavy in their favor?

Raiola has been impressive in the team’s 3-0 start to the year, averaging over 30 points per game.

But the Fighting Illini are also 3-0, with an almost identical scoring output over those games. That includes a big win over #19 Kansas in Week 2. Could the current +275 moneyline bet on Illinois be a solid wager? Or will home field advantage and a star QB put the Cornhuskers over the top?

Either way, with both teams putting up points, the Over/Under of 42.5 for Illinois-Nebraska could be an attractive Over play for bettors.

#6 Tennessee (-280) at #15 Oklahoma (+230)

Can a coach’s revenge be enough to fuel a team?

College football fans are about to find out in this huge game in Norman, as the Tennessee Volunteers head to Oklahoma to face the Sooners.

Volunteers’ head coach Josh Heupel was fired from his job at Oklahoma as offensive coordinator back in 2013 and he took it badly. Time heals all wounds, but he must still have some extra motivation to give his old team a rough welcome to the SEC.

On the field is where it really matters, of course, and Tennessee has come out strong this year. Their 3-0 start has included 191 points scored – including 65 points in the first half last week.

The Volunteers’ D has also only given up 13 points in those three games. This means Tennessee has covered the spread in all three games this year, by a comfortable 20 points or more.

The Sooners are also 3-0 though, with a defense that has forced 10 turnovers and allowed only 77 yards rushing per game.

In what many are calling the game of the week, check out all the Tennessee vs Oklahoma bets here for the best college football odds.

#12 Utah (-130) at #14 Oklahoma State (+110)

Another big game between top 25 college football teams is on tap as the Utah Utes travel to Cowboy country to take on Oklahoma State.

With a point spread of just 2.5 in favor of Utah, this could be one of the closest games of the year when it comes to college football odds. (For comparison, #1 Texas is currently at -44.5 heading into their game against the University of Louisiana Monroe this weekend).

It’s the Big 12 opener for both teams, and they’ll both want to make a statement as they aim to make the College Football Playoff and possibly even the National Championship Game in a couple months.

Utes’ QB Cam Rising is back after week off resting a hand injury. The senior quarterback is a top player in NCAA football and he’s even getting some Heisman Trophy mentions. But it’s a big test for a player who missed all of last season, and hand injuries are typically not a great situation for QBs.

Oklahoma State, meanwhile, has a solid veteran QB of their own in Alan Bowman, who has averaged 320+ yards to start the season. Considering the Utes’ tough run defense that has kept opponents to under 100 yards per game so far, expect the Cowboys to air it out often. This could also mean some great prop bets for Utah vs. Oklahoma State.

#8 Miami (-900) at South Florida (-575)

In-state rivalries are always a big draw for college football fans, and when the Miami Hurricanes are among the top teams in the country, the stakes seem even higher.

The U heads to Tampa to play South Florida this weekend and they’re bringing Heisman candidate Cam Ward with them.

Miami is coming off a blowout win over Ball State, 62-0, moving up two spots in the NCAA rankings. Ward threw for 5 touchdowns and almost 350 in that game, putting him over 1,000 yards passing already for the season.

The Bulls could be stubborn, however. South Florida is 2-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming against #4 Alabama – a game they played very close until the 4th quarter. They’ve also put up 48 and 49 points in their two wins.

Given the Hurricanes’ strength and the fact that Ward & Co. will be very comfortable with the climate and the crowd, however, Miami might have an easy time covering the 16.5 spread.

All 40+ Miami vs South Florida bets are available at Bovada, so even if the outcome is looking one-sided, there are plenty of other ways to play along.
