Rory McIlroy +450

Many golf fans and golf pundits are going all-in on Rory McIlroy to snag his second major of 2025 at Quail Hollow.

The thinking is that after a 10-year Masters drought and some big fumbles at recent majors over the past few years, his win at Augusta will result in him being even more confident and looser heading into the PGA.

McIlroy’s golf odds this season have been looking strong and there’s no doubt he deserves to be at the top of the list when it comes to PGA odds. Heading into this weekend’s Truist Championship event, he has three #1 finishes this year and over $13 million in 2025 winnings, so he deserves all the GOATing he’s getting.

He’s in prime position to win and add to his epic season. And because golf odds usually have to factor in a field of 100+ golfers to start every weekend, the favorites still offer a solid payout even at the very top of the list.

A win for Rory at the tournament would be a nice stroke of luck for any golf bettor.

Scottie Scheffler +450

Scottie Scheffler’s odds are right at the top next to McIlroy’s as the favorite heading into golf’s second major.

It says something about the quality of Scheffler’s play in the past few years that people are saying he’s slipping. He still has six top 10’s this season already, including a win to kick off this month at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Creating a PGA Championship preview requires a mind-reader when it comes to Scheffler vs McIlroy. Long seen as the calmest, coolest golfer on tour, Scheffler suddenly seems a bit shaky with the putter in his hands, while it’s McIlroy who has gained a new level of confidence in 2025.

He might look at the this event as his shot to re-assert himself as the top dog on tour. Golf betting fans might also look at the event as a revenge play for himr. It was a year ago, at the PGA Championship at Valhalla, where Scheffler was arrested in a bizarre turn of events – an incident that generated tons of unwanted attention and one that threw him off enough to miss out on the win.

Bryson DeChambeau +1200

Quail Hollow is a big, burly course that suits Bryson DeChambeau’s playing style to a, well, tee. So it’s a little surprising that his odds are fairly high for the PGA Championship. Maybe it’s more a reflection of McIlroy’s and Scheffler’s status as the big favorites and less a knock on DeChambeau.

Bryson is after all tearing up the LIV tour this season, with four straight top 10s, including a first-place finish to kick off May. This is on top of a T5 finish at this year’s Masters, the second year in a row where he’s been in contention on the weekend at the most pressure-packed golf tournament on the PGA Tour.

Then you can factor in his 2nd-place finish at last year’s tournament, part of his recent run of quality play at majors. Going back to last year’s Masters, DeChambeau has finished in the top 6 in 4 of the last 5 majors, including a win at the U.S. Open.

At +1200, DeChambeau represents solid value and upside. As long as he can keep his mental game strong – the part that golf fans think is his only weak link – DeChambeau could hit a big payday for himself and golf betting fans alike.

Xander Schauffele +1800

As the reigning champ, Xander Schauffele isn’t getting the love from oddsmakers heading into the tournament.

Why is that? For starters, the course has changed, from Valhalla to Quail Hollow, so course savvy doesn’t really come into play here. But the bigger reason is that he has fallen off since reaching valhalla at Valhalla.

Heading into the Truist event, Schauffele has just one top 10 so far this season (albeit at the Masters, so that’s a positive sign).

It’s a nagging rib injury that has kept Xander from his usual X-cellence, but he is a steady performer on tour. He’s made the cut in an amazing 62 straight tournaments, so your bets might include seeing him land in the top 10, top 25 or top 50.

Be sure to check out the full range of PGA Championship bets closer to opening day to get those bets in, or head to the futures for some bets on the Majors, where Schauffele could be a tempting play.

Justin Thomas +2000

As a player who was looking like the Next One for several years in a row, Justin Thomas hasn’t exactly delivered.

Heading into this year’s tournament, though, JT might just be the dark horse. Thomas could be feeling it after his overdue win less than a month ago at the RBC Heritage.

Despite a tough 36th-place finish at the first major of the year, Thomas does have two second place finishes this season and five top 10’s overall.

Then there’s the X factor of his 2017 PGA Championship at… you guessed it: Quail Hollow. Players definitely have their favorite courses that just feel right, and if Quail Hollow is that course for JT, golf betting fans will love his +2000 odds.
