As the Masters at Augusta kicks off, the excitement is palpable among golf fans and bettors alike. It marks the beginning of the golf season and Masters odds betting. It is a time when even the most casual fans find themselves enchanted by the beauty of azaleas and magnolias.

At Bovada, we take this sentimentality to heart and strive to offer the best Masters odds and props in the market. From the favorites to the longshots and even special Tiger Woods bets, we’ve got it all for the 2024 Masters odds.

The Masters Odds & Betting Insights

Let’s dig into our bag and see what Masters betting insights we can come up with as we list 10 golfers with best (or at least most interesting) odds.

Scottie Scheffler (+400)

One of the hottest golfers on tour, Scheffler has already won twice in 2024. In all eight of his tournaments since the start of the year, he has seven top-10 finishes and hasn’t finished worse than 17th. Scheffler has also finished in the top 20 in each of his four appearances at Augusta.

Rory McIlroy (+1100)

Having McIlroy so high on the list of favorites could come as a surprise to some. While there’s no doubt he’s still an elite golfer, he’s only cracked the top 20 on the PGA Tour three times in seven starts this year. It’s his tournaments in Dubai – a T2 and a win – back in January, plus a second-place finish this past weekend at the Valero Texas Open that might explain his placement so high up on the list of Masters odds.

Jon Rahm (+1200)

As the reigning owner of the Green Jacket, Rahm has been having a solid year with five tournaments played on the LIV tour and a top-10 finish in each one. Take the LIV results and his Masters odds with a grain of salt, however, as the format and the competition differ quite a bit from the PGA Tour. However, he’s coming off a shaky 45th this past weekend at LIV Miami.

Brooks Koepka (+1400)

Koepka is a monster in the majors, with five wins in his relatively young career. He hasn’t quite found the top spot in the Masters though, finishing second twice, including in last year’s tournament. He’s also hit the top 12 in four of his last six Masters appearances. So if anyone’s due, it’s Koepka.

Xander Schauffele (+1800)

With eight tournaments played and six top-10 finishes this year, Schauffele is arguably the hottest player on the PGA Tour after Scheffler. Add in another three top-10s in the last five Masters, including a second place just one stroke behind Tiger in 2019, and Xander could add some excitement to this year’s bet slips – at +2000 he represents good value.

Ludvig Aberg (+2200)

This might be the first time many bettors will see Aberg’s name on any top 10 list, but his fellow golfers know his skills on the course. As he enters his very first Masters this year (and his first major of any kind), Aberg is a young phenom who finished his college golf career last June as the highest-ranked amateur in the world. He’s cut all eight of his tournaments this season, and in 3 of those, he’s finished in the top 10.

Patrick Cantlay (+3000)

If you watched last year’s Ryder Cup (or at least the Netflix coverage of it), you will have seen how clutch Cantlay can be. He was under real pressure from a hostile crowd, but he kept his cool, nailing birdie after birdie. That resolve – plus his seven top 5 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2023 and three top-20 Masters finishes over the past 5 years – make him a solid value play for Masters bettors.

Corey Conners (+8000)

We always like to include one or two medium-to-long Masters odds players in the mix, and Conners seems like a great fit. To start with, the 2024 Masters will be his seventh showing at Augusta, so he knows the course. In three of the past four Masters, Conners has finished in the top 10, including a T6 in 2022. This season, he’s played in 9 tournaments and made the cut in all of them, with a 13th-place finish in the Players Championship.

Phil Mickelson (+15000)

Past Masters champions sometimes deserve a closer look, especially with these tempting odds and multiple Masters wins in their past. Mickelson has the Green Jackets to his name, with the last coming in 2010. But Lefty finished last year’s event tied for second place, and Jack Nicklaus won his six Masters titles over 23 years, don’t forget. So anything is possible.

Tiger Woods (+17500)

There’s no way we’re leaving Tiger off our Masters odds and preview list! He’s too iconic. It’s his 26th Masters appearance, and he’s taken home the Green Jacket on five of those occasions. His Masters odds for 2024 are pretty long, we know. Tiger’s injuries have severely limited his play in recent years, but as recently as 2019 he won it all. And all eyes will still be on him to see if he has some of that Masters magic.

OTHER MASTERS BETS

If picking the winner is not your bag, there are plenty of other ways to wager on the 2024 Masters tournament.

You can pick a golfer to finish in the Top 5, for example.

Scottie Scheffler is having such a great year that he’s even odds to finish in the top 5 at this year’s Masters. A player like Jordan Spieth, who might not be most people’s pick to win it all, is enough of a Masters master that he’s high on the list of potential top 5 finishers, with +300 odds. Spieth has four top 4 finishes in six of his 10 starts at Augusta, including a win in 2015.

The same goes for Top 10 and Top 20 finishes, so you can play it as safe as laying up for an easy par. (Which means, of course, that can still duff your approach!).

The special Tiger Woods sections, including boosters and other prop bets, are worth a look too. Think Tiger can birdie four out of 18 holes in his first round? The odds are a nice-looking +120. Or do you think he’s washed, and might even miss the cut? Those odds are +110.

All these great wagers, and plenty more Masters odds, including Tiger specials, are ready for action over at Bovada. Fore!
