2019 Super Bowl LIII – Maroon 5, Travis Scott, Big Boi
This one was pretty unremarkable, except for Adam Levine’s shirtless performance. Male fans could be excused for feeling a little out of shape as they went back to their nachos and beer while Levine thrilled the female demographic. Prop bettors could wager on which song he would open with. “Hard to Breathe” was the result, which seemed fitting for some during this Super Bowl halftime show.
2020 Super Bowl LIV – Shakira, Jennifer Lopez
These two superstars didn’t seem to lose a step from their earlier days, with enough hip-shaking and strutting to compete with people who weren’t even born when they launched their careers. Shakira (43) and Lopez (50) didn’t end up making any wardrobe malfunctions, but we’ve got more on that below.
Super Bowl LV – The Weeknd
The Canadian superstar reportedly paid $7 million of his own money to create the setting that he wanted for the event. There’s no word whether his ROI on this big spend was worth the bet – but for the sake of comparison, there was a 214% jump in Justin Timberlake’s Spotify stream following his 2018 Super Bowl halftime show. It’s probably safe to say The Weeknd made a good wager.
Super Bowl LVI – Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar
This jam-packed stage – actually multiple stages – featured hip hop royalty. The challenge for Super Bowl halftime prop bettors was to pick from a massive library of music to decide which song was played first. The West Coast won out in several ways on the field that day – the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, and Dre and Snoop opened the set with “The Next Episode”.
Super Bowl LVII – Rihanna
Rihanna, with her first live performance in 5 years, set the record for viewers of the Super Bowl Halftime show, with 121 million tuning in. Enough said. RiRi slayed.

Who is performing at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show?
One name, own word, one dude: Usher.
This R&B star and producer came out with some bangers in the 90’s and early 2000’s, including “Yeah”, “DJ Got Us Falling in Love”, “Caught U”, “Burn” and plenty more.
Usher has sold more than 100 million albums spanning a 30-year career (he’s only 44, btw). This includes nine Billboard #1 songs and 18 that have made the Top 10.
Usher will be instantly recognizable to anyone who hit a dancefloor in the last 25 years. When he takes the stage at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, you’ll see the usual crowds on the field going nuts, but there will be plenty of moms and dads in living rooms everywhere also getting their groove on (and embarrassing their kids).

Ludacris is at -210 while 17 other artists are in the + category, including Madonna at a whopping +2200. (Fun fact: Madonna invited Usher onstage during her 2012 Super Bowl performance. Is it time to return the favor?).
- Number of collabs: For how many songs is Usher willing to share the stage with any of these 18 people? Oddsmakers figure the O/U is 2.5, with the Under at +160.
- Will there be a wardrobe malfunction? Since Justin Timberlake helped air out Janet Jackson’s top at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, artists have kept it pretty clean. Maybe someone thinks it’s time for a 20th anniversary reboot? A “Yes” gets you odds of +1000, while “No” is -4000.
- Usher’s first word(s): What will Usher utter first? This fun prop bet comes with nine possible options for bettors to choose from. A straightforward “Yo” offers the lowest odds at +250, while a self-referential “Usher” is +600.
