From the first bell, 29-year-old KSI came out with energy and aggression which saw him land the heavier punches throughout the first round of the exhibition bout however Fournier started the second round a bit more assertive, keeping the fight in the middle of the ring and asking question of KSI. But all that changed in an instant when KSI landed a huge overhand right blow to stun 40-year-old Fournier which seconds later was followed by an attempted right hook, with KSI instead making contact with his elbow. The strike sent Fournier to the canvas and left him on his back unable to beat the referee’s count. In a post-fight interview, KSI denied that he had stopped his fellow Briton with his elbow, before calling Tommy Fury into the ring for a face-off, which (predictably) ended up with the pair being separated. The win would have been KSI’s fourth straight KO victory in as many exhibition bouts, however was overturned to ‘No Contest’ after a formal appeal from Fournier. The YouTube celebrity, who rose to fame as a gamer but also raps, previously fought Logan Paul twice, drawing with his fellow YouTuber in an amateur bout and beating him on points in a professional rematch. Meanwhile, Tommy Fury – half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury – is probably best known for his time as a contestant on Love Island, but he is also unbeaten as a professional boxer. Fury outpointed Logan Paul’s brother Jake in February 2023.
