With the 2026 MLB season now underway, fans across the country are heading back to their ballparks for the first time this year. But not all gameday experiences are created equal. While the action on the field draws the crowds, the cost of getting in – and once you’re there, grabbing a beer and a hot dog can vary wildly depending on where you’re watching.
To find out which stadiums are eating into fans’ wallets the most, Bovada MLB Sportsbook has analyzed gameday costs across all 30 MLB ballparks, factoring in average minimum ticket prices, parking costs, the price of a beer, and the price of a hot dog. Each stadium was then scored and ranked to reveal the most and least expensive places to watch baseball in America right now.
The data also reveals the best overall stadiums in the MLB, taking into account gameday cost, capacity, accessibility, reviews, search volume, and social media metrics.

The 10 most expensive MLB stadiums
Wrigley Field: The most expensive stadium for baseball fans
Wrigley Field carries the highest total gameday cost in the entire dataset at $178.75, driven largely by its extraordinary average minimum parking cost of $107.39, by far the highest of any ballpark analyzed.
The Cubs’ iconic home sits in a densely populated neighbourhood on Chicago’s North Side, where off-street parking is scarce, and demand is fierce on gamedays. Average minimum tickets come in at $53.91, and a beer and a hot dog will cost fans $17.45 combined. The historic charm of the 1914 ballpark commands a premium, and the numbers reflect it.

Dodger Stadium comes in as the second most expensive
Dodger Stadium comes in second place with fans facing average minimum ticket prices of $76.35 and parking costs of $57.64 before they’ve even found their seat.
Once inside, a beer will set you back $16 and a hot dog another $8, meaning a beer and a hot dog alone come to a whopping $24 at Dodger Stadium. With a total gameday cost of $157.99, it’s the most wallet-punishing experience in the league. The Dodgers’ sustained success and the global star power of Shohei Ohtani have only driven demand and prices higher.
Fenway Park rounds off the top three
Boston’s Fenway Park is one of the most storied venues in American sport, and attending a game there has always come at a cost. Average minimum tickets run to $67.55, parking to $44.87, and a beer and a hot dog together will cost $17.04.
The total gameday cost of $129.46 makes it the third most expensive ballpark in the country. With a capacity of just 37,755, the smallest in the majors, demand consistently outstrips supply, keeping prices elevated season after season.
Yankee Stadium, New York City, surprisingly sits in the middle of the ranking
It may raise an eyebrow or two not to find Yankee Stadium appearing among the league’s most expensive ballparks. However, the data shows that the total gameday cost at this iconic stadium is $84.36, which is about average. This is worth contextualising: Yankee Stadium is one of the largest venues in MLB with a capacity of 46,537, and a larger stadium means a greater volume of tickets available across a wider range of price tiers.
That higher proportion of lower-priced seats in the upper levels brings down the average minimum ticket price considerably, even if premium seats at the new Yankee Stadium can be among the most expensive in the game. A beer and a hot dog combined will cost $9.25 – modest by New York City standards.
The 10 least expensive MLB stadiums
Comerica Park: The best value ballpark in baseball
Comerica Park in Detroit ranks as the most affordable gameday experience in the MLB, with a total cost of just $52.48. Average minimum tickets are $19.55, parking $24.93, and crucially, a beer and a hot dog combined will cost fans just $8 – comfortably the cheapest food and drink pairing in the study.
For fans looking to enjoy a full gameday without the financial sting felt at Dodger Stadium or Wrigley Field, Comerica Park represents extraordinary value.

Coors Field comes in as the second most affordable
The Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field comes in as the second most affordable ballpark with a total gameday cost of $54.02. Average minimum ticket prices are among the lowest in the league at just $19.69, while parking remains relatively reasonable at $24.33. Concession pricing is more mixed, with beer standing out as a bargain at just $3, but a hot dog comes in significantly higher at $7.
LoanDepot Park rounds off the top three most affordable
Miami’s LoanDepot Park is the third most affordable venue on the list, carrying a total gameday cost of $65.37. Average minimum ticket prices are the lowest in the entire league at just $17.70, and a beer and a hot dog together amount to $8.22. The Marlins have historically struggled with attendance, and competitive pricing reflects the franchise’s ongoing efforts to build a stronger fanbase in South Florida.
The 10 best MLB stadiums to watch a game
Yankee Stadium: The best stadium experience in baseball
Yankee Stadium tops the overall rankings, and the combination of factors that put it there is hard to argue with. It draws the highest Instagram hashtag volume of any ballpark outside Los Angeles, with over 700,000 posts under its tag, and holds a near-perfect Google review score of 4.7, reflecting consistently strong fan experiences.
The stadium also has the closest rail station, 161st St-Yankee Stadium, just 0.02 miles – about a one-minute walk – from the gates, making it one of the most accessible venues in the league. Combined with the relatively affordable cost of a gameday and a strong seating capacity that fuels its infectious atmosphere, it stands as the most complete package in baseball.

Wrigley Field
Despite carrying the highest total gameday cost in the study, Wrigley Field earns its place at number two through sheer cultural weight and accessibility. The Cubs’ home on the North Side has 576,624 Instagram hashtags attached to it and a strong Google review score of 4.8. The Addison Station on the Red Line sits just 0.02 miles, or about 35 yards, from the gates, making it highly accessible and convenient for fans.
Fenway Park
Fenway Park’s combination of heritage, Google review score (4.8), and proximity to Kenmore Station (0.2 miles, about a five-minute walk) secures it in third place overall. With 547,238 Instagram hashtags and a capacity of 37,755, Fenway delivers an atmosphere that larger, more modern venues struggle to replicate. Every seat feels close to the action, which goes some way to justifying its premium price point.
The stadiums that ranked lower for overall gameday experience
Rounding out the bottom three in the overall stadium rankings are Miami’s loanDepot park, Tampa Bay’s Tropicana Field, and The Athletics’ Sutter Health Park – but it’s worth providing some context for each, because lower rankings here don’t always reflect a poor venue.
LoanDepot Park in Miami scores well on affordability, but is held back by a Google review score of 4.5, a relatively modest Instagram footprint of just 13,394 hashtags, and limited rail access.
Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg finishes second from bottom with a Google review score of 4.4, the lowest in the analysis, and a capacity of just 25,025, the second smallest in the league. The Rays’ long-running search for a new venue has been well-documented, and a more modern, better-connected home would likely transform their ranking considerably.
The Athletics’ temporary home in West Sacramento is the smallest-capacity venue in MLB, at just 13,416. The high gameday cost of $123.71 further hurts the venue’s affordability. As with Tropicana Field, the long-term picture looks very different: the Athletics’ move to a new multi-billion dollar stadium in Las Vegas, currently under development, should transform the franchise’s gameday offering significantly in the years ahead.
