Jon Jones (-700) vs Stipe Miocic (+475)

Many people consider Jon Jones to be the greatest fighter in UFC history, and with talent like George St. Pierre, Conor McGregor, Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, and others in the UFC’s past, that’s saying something.

Jones’ history is also marked by several scandals, however, so that dims his star power for some UFC fight fans.

But his 27-1-0 record in the Octagon is undeniable. He’s held the UFC title belt in two different weight classes, and he’s the current Heavyweight belt holder.

Could ring rust be an issue for this fight? Jones has fought just once in the past 4 years, submitting Ciryl Gane in March 2023. The UFC 309 odds don’t seem to be penalizing him much for this, however – Jones is currently sitting as a strong favorite at -700.

On the other side of the Octagon, Stipe Miocic is the only UFC Heavyweight Champion to defend his title successfully on three separate occasions. He also has a dominant career record at 20-4-0.

At 42 years old, though, does he have the stamina and reaction time that led him to success in his younger years? The full-time firefighter is a fan favorite, but oddsmakers are giving the decided edge to Jones for this fight.

Miocic is facing a long absence from the Octagon , having last fought a losing battle in March 2021. He’s still ranked #8 in the Heavyweight division though and his UFC odds would stack up well against everyone in the division aside from Jones.

Given each fighter’s age, there’s talk of this being the retirement fight for both men. This would give each one of them some extra motivation to go out on top, adding even more excitement to this UFC 309 main event.

Take a look at the main UFC 309 odds below and the full list of bet types for Jones vs Miocic at Bovada.

Charles Oliveira (-260) vs Michael Chandler (+215)

The longtime UFC vets Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler square off in a rematch that is being billed as the co-Main event for UFC 309.

While this fight is a non-title bout, it has plenty of big-fight vibes.

Oliveira took the vacant title when he beat Chandler in the second round at UFC 262. Chandler, who was waiting for a potential fight against Conor McGregor that never materialized, has been out of the Octagon for two years but is known as a complete brawler. He showed his chops coaching against McGregor in the Ultimate Fighter show and is ready to throw down anytime.

At 34-10-0, Oliveira is ranked as the #2 greatest MMA grappler of all time and is consistently at the top of the list of fan favorites.

This is a #1 contender fight, with the winner being promised a title shot for the Lightweight belt, so Oliveira won’t be taking his opponent lightly. Missing out on a large payday has hurt Chandler, so he’ll be as hungry as ever to make a name for himself and line up a 2025 title match against Arman Tsarukyan.

Chandler, at 23-8-0, had the edge on all the judges’ scorecards after Round 1 in their previous fight, but Oliveira’s striking put a quick end to the fight in Round 2.

If Chandler can defend those strikes better, this fight stands a chance going the distance.

All the UFC 309 odds for Oliveira-Chandler are right here, including the main bets:

MoneylineRounds Over/UnderMethod of Victory
Oliveira -260
Chandler +215
2.5  Over +190 Under +130
3.5  Over +190 Under -260
4.5  Over +265 Under -385
Oliveira by KO, TKO or DQ  +250
Chandler by KO, TKO or DQ  +400

Bo Nickal (-1500) vs Paul Craig (+775)

In one of the biggest favorite/underdog margins on the UFC 309 card, Bo Nickal battles Paul Craig just ahead of the co-Main Events in a Middleweight clash.

Nickal comes into the ring with a record that is light on UFC fights but heavy on fighting pedigree. He was the NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion three times in his weight class during college, going 61-0 in his last two years. In short, he’s a monster on the mat.

Nickal is 6-0-0 in his young UFC career, with all finishes happening in the first round.
Craig is 17-8-1 in his own UFC career, so he has more mileage and experience in the Octagon. He’s 1-2 in his last three fights though, and his UFC 309 odds reflect his slim chances against the powerful Nickal.

But as with every UFC fight at Bovada, there are many ways to play each fight beyond just the winner and loser. The Nickal-Craig odds offer many ways to play.

MoneylineRounds Over/UnderMethod of Victory
Nickal -1500
Craig +775
2.5  Over +375 Under -600

Nickal by KO, TKO or DQ  -150
Craig by KO, TKO or DQ  +2800
