Dana White’s UFC is returning to Sin City for a spectacular celebration featuring an impressive fight card. The first numbered event by the UFC dates back to 1993, and now, over 30 years later, the organization has reached a new milestone. UFC 300 promises to be an event of epic proportions in every aspect.
Card Breakdown
Let’s take a look at the main cards of the UFC 300 set to keep us on the edge of our seats with ultimate entertainment.
Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill
The highly anticipated mega card is widely considered to be the most significant and top-tier event in MMA history, with Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill set to headline the event.
In a little over two years inside the Octagon, no one in MMA has had the kind of instant success that the former two-division Glory kickboxing champion has. Pereira, who is 6-1 since his 2021 Octagon debut, has won titles in two UFC divisions and enters Saturday with a shot at a fifth straight victory over a former UFC champion when he faces Hill.
What makes this weekend’s fight so unique is that Pereira will fight a former champion in Hill who never lost his belt inside the cage and returns from a 15-month injury layoff after rupturing his Achilles tendon in a basketball game (crazy, right?) This match-up guarantees nothing but action and the potential for “Poaton” to continue his meteoric march into history.

Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway
Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway are also part of the action. The bout will be a rare lightweight appearance for Max Holloway, who is riding a two-fight winning streak. The Hawaiian will attempt to take Justin Gaethje’s ‘BMF’ title that he won last July against Dustin Poirier.
Earlier this month, Max Holloway made the pitch for his UFC 300 return against Justin Gaethje. In an interview, the former featherweight champion stated that fellow MMA star Mark Coleman should be the one to hand out the ceremonial title to the winner. ‘The Hammer’ is currently healing up after rescuing his parents from a devastating house fire last month.
Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan
UFC women’s strawweight champion Zhang Weili co-main events UFC 300 with a title defense against Yan Xiaonan. This bout will make history on Saturday night, it will be the first time two Chinese fighters compete for a UFC title.
Since reclaiming the UFC women’s strawweight title two years ago, Weili made a dominant first defense with a unanimous decision win over Amanda Lemos at UFC 292 in Boston.
Xionan is a history maker in her own right after becoming the UFC’s first women’s fighter from China after making her debut in November 2017, and comes into this meeting with Weili on the back of a two-fight winning streak.
Oliveira Vs Tsarukyan
Oliveira Vs Tsarukyan is being hailed as the wildest and most unmissable bout on the card.
This fight represents a perfect crossroads battle to find out which fighter is coming and which one is going in the overall title picture. Oliveira rebounded from his disastrous 2022 title loss to Makhachev by finishing Beneil Dariush last June.
Tsarukyan, meanwhile, is also fresh off a knockout win over Dariush in a performance that catapulted the Georgian-born, Armenian fighter into legitimate title contention.
