Odds To Win The Champions League
- PSG +115
- Barcelona +225
- Inter Milan +400
- Arsenal +650
Paris Saint-Germain +115
With possibly the best attack among the four remaining Champions League teams, PSG has the best odds for the overall championship.
It didn’t reflect on the scoresheet, but the consensus MVP of that first match against Arsenal in Champions League action was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Arsenal had a tough time containing “Kvaradona” and he looks set to make a big mark in the second leg, not mention the possible Champions League final. Keep an eye on any scoring action from him when it comes to placing your soccer bets.
Beyond Kvaratskhelia, and especially at midfield, PSG looks too strong. Their midfield trio of Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha is world-class, and Ousmane Dembele, the superstar who’s in contention for the Ballon d’Or this season, already scored early in their first leg battle. If you’re looking to get into soccer betting action for the UEFA Champions League, there are plenty of Daily Soccer Specials to choose from that go way beyond the final score. From corners taken to timing bets, cards handed out, and more, there’s way more action on soccer beyond just the goals.
Barcelona +225
With a 3-3 first leg draw against Inter Milan, everything is on the line for Barcelona.
They’ve won the Champions League title five times, but they’re on a drought since 2015. A decade without the title in Barcelona could seem like a sign that they’re ready to reclaim their past glory.
With the young players on their current squad, their UEFA Champions League odds are solid and they could stay that way for years to come.
Lamine Yamal, the 17-year old phenom for Barça, is a generational talent who is already making his mark on one of the world’s biggest soccer stages. He scored once in the first leg, hit the goalposts twice, and was a threat to score throughout the match.
Lamal spurred on his team to come back twice from two goals down in the first. Inter’s manager Simone Inzaghi admitted they had to put three players on him at times during their first match, which leaves major scoring opportunities for other players.
It’s this perfect mix of young and veteran savvy that gives Barcelona their +225 odds to take home the Champions League trophy. Robert Lewandowski, the ageless vet, has scored 11 goals in 12 Champions League matches for the Blaugrana. He’s coming back from injury just in time for the second leg of the semifinal, and he could come off the bench for a fresh attack late in the game.
Raphinha, the scorer of Barcelona’s third goal, at age 28 is situated perfectly between Yamal’s youth and Lewandowski’s veteran status. The 28-year-old gives the Barça unit even more balance and he can score at any time. He just passed Lionel Messi as the Barcelona player with the most goal involvements in a Champions League season, and he’s in the Ballon d’Or conversation too.
Inter Milan +400
Denzel Dumfries gives Inter a chance every time he’s on the pitch, and he proved it again in the first game between the classic UEFA foes Inter and Barcelona.
Dumfries scored twice during that crucial match, only to have Inter’s weaker defense let Barça back in the game each time.
As a contrast against Barcelona’s high-flying attack, it’s Inter set piece mastery that gives them a decent edge of +400 for their Champions League odds. Dumfries showed the touch of the Dutch by scoring twice from corner kicks in their first leg match.
Add in his assist in that same game, and Dumfries played a direct role in all 3 of Inter’s goals.
Overall, if they want to keep pace with the Barcelona talent, Inter will need to do better than being outshot 19-7, as they were in Game 1. And they’ll need more people to help out Dumfries – Barcelona will be pressing him the entire game.
Arsenal +650
Knocking out Real Madrid has given the Gunners a big boost, but they still have the worst UEFA Champions League odds of the four remaining squads.
They showed some moves early in the game, but they’ll need to do way better to overcome PSG’s talent. In the final 30 minutes of their 1-0 loss, the Gunners were shooting blanks. They only had 2 attempts during that time, with the game on the line.
As in the other Champions League semifinal, it’s a contrast of styles here. Arsenal has the edge in height and set piece savvy, while PSG has the flashier attack.
Bukayo Saka, the leading striker for Arsenal, was completely shut down in their first leg game. He only had one shot on goal, and from 25 meters out it wasn’t a threat. If you like Saka to break through in the next game, he is overdue.
Otherwise, Arsenal’s attack consists of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. Solid players who accounted for 6 out of the Gunners’ 10 shot attempts in the first game, but they should be easily handled by the Paris Saint-Germain defense.
