Gasparilla Bowl: Tulane (+375) vs Florida (-525)

The Tulane Green Wave almost splashed their way into the CFP before breaking late and crashing to shore in their last game against Memphis.

Tulane had an 8-game winning streak going and looked to be headed towards the home field for the ACC Championship against Army, but instead, they lost both games, and here they are, gasparill-ing for air.

They’ll face the Florida Gators on December 20th in the Gasparilla Bowl. The Gators, headed in the opposite direction, are on a 3-game win streak. Plus, Florida will be playing many of its starters while some of Tulane’s top talent has headed for the transfer portal.

Gators’ QB DJ Lagway is turning his freshman season into a promising preview heading into next year. He started the team’s recent streak with a 226-yard showing against ranked LSU, followed by a W over another ranked team in Ole Miss. In each of those last 3 games, Lagway’s completion percentage increased too.

His rival, Tulane’s Darian Mensah, won’t be on the field as he’s already committed to Duke next season. Two top defensive players, Preston Peterson and Matthew Fobbs-White, are also saying ta-ta Tulane ahead of the big bowl game.

All this adds up to a potential big win with Florida as 13.5-point favorites, and you can catch all kinds of other odds to play Tulane vs the Gators at Bovada.

Las Vegas Bowl: Texas A&M (-165) vs USC (+140)

What happens in Vegas on Friday, December 27th for this Aggies vs Trojans clash might not stay in Vegas. Both these high-profile teams bring a lot of history to the game and both are playing for program pride after missing out on a CFP spot.

Three of the Aggies’ top D-linemen have opted out of the game, reducing the team’s chances to hit it big in Vegas. The reason their odds against USC are still slightly in their favor speaks to the talent they will still have on the field.

Or it could just be that the Trojans are not that great this season. Finishing 6-6, they had a disastrous third season under big-name head coach Lincoln Riley.

With a solid 8-4 season that ended with a loss to highly ranked Texas to keep them out of a potential CFP spot, the Aggies are still the team to beat.

Then again, the Trojans could surprise with their top running back, Woody Marks, as he hits the holes left by the absence of A&M’s top linemen.

Snoop Dogg Bowl: Miami (OH) (-140) vs Colorado State (+120)

The Miami RedHawks are looking to rebound from their most recent game, a humbling 38-3 loss to Ohio. Meanwhile, the Colorado State Rams are riding high with a 5-1 Mountain West record that helped secure their first eight-win season in a decade.

On December 28th, these two teams will face off in Arizona at the aptly nicknamed ‘Snoop Dogg Bowl,’ where the legendary entertainer himself will handle the coin toss, some announcing duties, and present the winner’s trophy.

As slim 2.5-point favorites, the RedHawks might feel optimistic about taking home that trophy, despite their recent blowout loss. Their confidence is justified—they entered the MAC Championship on a seven-game winning streak and have shown resilience throughout the season

The Rams are in some turmoil. They have fired their defensive coordinator and have already lost several players to the transfer portal.

With an O/U of just 42.5, the oddsmakers expect a low-scoring affair despite the high-profile sponsor.

Alamo Bowl: Colorado (-145) vs BYU (+125)

As far as primetime talent, this bowl game has it all. Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter will take his two-way talents to the Alamo Bowl on December 28th, along with potential #1 NFL Draft pick Shedeur Sanders. And of course, there’s their coach, Deion Sanders. He turned around the Buffalo’s season of a year ago with a 9-3 record and a close shot at a CFP spot this year.

BYU and their elite QB Jake Retzlaff also just missed a college football playoff spot. Retzlaff led the Cougars to 10 wins this season and led the team to 30+ points in 8 of those wins.

Although Hunter and Shedeur are expected to play, whether they’ll stay on the field for the full game remains uncertain. College football odds suggest that both players may not be present for a dramatic late-game stand at the Alamo Bowl. If that’s the case, a talented BYU squad could cover the spread or even pull off an outright win.

The biggest challenge for the Cougars in this matchup could be the impact of the transfer portal, with eight BYU players entering since it opened.

Then again, it’s not hard to envision a BYU upset if Hunter – the team’s top receiver and top DB – and their star QB Sanders only play some of the game.
