Block patterns in WordPress are pre-designed templates that consist of a specific arrangement of blocks. Blocks are the building blocks of the new WordPress editor, known as the Block Editor or Gutenberg. Block patterns make it easy for users to add complex or repetitive design elements to their pages and posts.
Block Patterns are simply a starting point in building content. They help promote consistency and reduce the work on the editor, but can still be edited as normal blocks (i.e. remove/add features as you see fit).
