NFL Week 5 is coming in hot, and Bovada’s latest football odds are ready to go.
While teams like the Minnesota Vikings are looking legit, the biggest story of the season so far is Jayden Daniels and his suddenly commanding Washington Commanders. Can both teams keep up the momentum?
Meanwhile, preseason powerhouses, the Eagles and Rams are showing signs of weakness and looking to turn things around quickly.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+120) at Atlanta Falcons (-140)
Coming off a pounding of the Philadelphia Eagles last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be feeling confident for this game against Atlanta.
This is just one reason for the somewhat surprising moneyline for the Bucs-Falcons game, including the -2.5 spread in favor of ATL.
All the bets for Atlanta vs. Tampa Bay are at Bovada, including a seemingly low 43.5 Over/Under, as both teams can put up points in a hurry. Keep in mind, these numbers can change during the week – especially if football bettors start to believe in Baker – so check back regularly.
The Falcons, for their part, took down the New Orleans Saints with a last-minute field goal last week. But they didn’t score an offensive touchdown in that game, and they’ll need more output from Kirk Cousins and his wide receivers if they want to beat a Tampa team that has averaged 30 points in their three wins so far this season.
This Thursday Night Football game could go a long way to determining the eventual AFC South title, so expect both teams to come out firing.
New York Jets (+130) at Minnesota Vikings (-150)
Given the New York Jets’ weak showing at home against the Denver Broncos last weekend, combined with the Minnesota Vikings’ dominance so far this season, the NFL odds for this matchup look surprisingly close.
The Jets are currently just 2.5-point underdogs, despite putting up only 9 points in a loss to the Denver Broncos last weekend.
Minnesota, meanwhile, is 4-0. QB Sam Darnold is getting some MVP buzz already, while Justin Jefferson is among the very best wide receivers in the game. The Vikes are 4th in the NFL in points for and 5th in points against.
So what could be behind these relatively close odds? The Rodgers’ mystique perhaps? Or are NFL oddsmakers treating this past weekend as a rain-soaked anomaly and looking back to two weeks ago when Rodgers put up 280 yards and commanded the game from the opening snap?
All the bets for the Jets-Vikings game are here, including plenty of props if you think the Vikings are the real deal and will pillage and plunder the Jets easily.
Arizona Cardinals (+270) at San Francisco 49ers (-340)
With so many injuries, the San Francisco 49ers are still finding a way to win games.
They bring a 2-2 record to face an Arizona Cardinals team that is seemingly better than their 1-3 record indicates. The Cards took a beating last weekend from the Commanders, but only lost by one score to the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills, both playoff-contending teams.
Factor in all the Niners’ injuries – star running back Christian McCaffrey is still out, and now All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner is down too. Along with close to 200 other ways to bet, the moneyline odds and spread for the Cardinals-49ers game seems to have a bigger gap than expected.
Arizona’s biggest problem is consistency, making it a challenge for fans playing their NFL odds each week. Rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. has shown flashes of brilliance, but at other times has gone quiet. Kyler Murray has been the same, and he needs to lead the team at QB for all four quarters.
At the same time, San Fran QB Brock Purdy has proven he can play without stars like Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and McCaffrey in the lineup. He threw for 3 TDs and almost 300 yards in a last-second loss to the Rams two weeks ago, even though all three stars were on the sidelines.
Team Injuries vs Team Inconsistency. Which one do you like?
Dallas Cowboys (+115) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-135)
Heading into the season, the Dallas Cowboys would have been easily favored over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But after four weeks of action, it’s the Steelers who have the edge coming into this Sunday Night Football matchup.
Savvy football fans might see this as a coaching issue. Year after year, Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin gets it done, despite having average talent to work with. The Cowboy’s Mike McCarthy, on the other hand, has a lineup with mega-talented players like CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons, but Big D often flops in big games.
This week, the NFL odds favor Steelers slightly, as their defense continues to shine. Up until last weekend’s game, they hadn’t allowed a second-half touchdown all season.
The Cowboys’ defense, on the other hand, gave up 274 yards on the ground to Baltimore two weeks ago. And now they’ve lost DeMarcus Lawrence, with Micah Parsons also hobbling heading into Steeltown.
With Steelers’ QB Justin Fields able to do serious damage running, Pittsburgh might have the Cowboys seeing stars on Sunday night.
Every bet for this classic Cowboys-Steelers rivalry game can be found at Bovada.
New Orleans Saints (+195) at Kansas City Chiefs (-235)
The New Orleans Saints have been among the biggest surprises in the NFL this season.
Even after the last-second loss to Atlanta last week, the Saints appear ready for prime time with a strong offense that put up 91 points in first two weeks.
Their 2-2 record includes two losses by a combined total of just 5 points, so they could very well have been 4-0 going into this game.
KC is still a big-time threat anytime Patrick Mahomes is playing. The three-time Super Bowl MVP shines in prime time, with a 37-11 record at home playing under the lights.
The Chiefs could actually win this game on the other side of this ball, however. They are in the top 10 in the NFL in both yards rushing per game and point allowed per game. Slowing down Saints’ ageless RB Alvin Kamara might be the key to KC’s favorable NFL odds going into the Monday Night Football game.
